Sunrise on the Evil and the Good

Hawaii, December 1940. 

Kana Hale has returned to his changing homeland to sort out his life and come back for Alani, the girl he left behind. Her father, James Bailey, asks Kana to get a private notebook to Alani because only she can read it. 

Then Bailey’s throat is slashed, and Kana, the prime suspect, has to disappear into Hawaii’s underworld of deception, greed, and espionage.

Kana’s only chance is to find Alani and get her the notebook to see the secret her father was hiding before either the fledgling FBI or the spies around Pearl Harbor find them.
